Our Crew

Jeff Thompson, DVM- originally from Ohio, received his undergraduate and DVM from The Ohio State University in 1985.  He spent time in private practice and in the animal  pharmaceutical industry before founding Town & Country in 2002.  He has a special interest in animal reproduction work and is a member of AAEP.  He and his wife have three grown sons and live in Miami County where they also raise black Angus cattle and keep a few horses, cats and dogs.

Allen Baldridge, DVM- a native of Miami County, received his undergraduate and DVM from Kansas State University in 2007 .  He worked at a Companion Animal, Exotic and Urgent Care Center in Missouri for one year before joining the staff in June 2008.  In addition to preforming routine and emergency large animal services, his arrival allows us to expand our growing small animal practice.  Dr. Baldridge and his wife Sarah are owned by two cats, one dog and heifers "Charlotte" and "Jane".   Sarah is completing her DVM studies at K-State and divides her time between Paola and Manhattan.

The Crew-  Sandi Bal, Brenda Hoehn, and Melinda Haas complete the clinic staff.  In their free time your sure to find one of them at a horse show, driving a miniature horse, out trail riding, a barrel race, or a dog agility workshop or competition.  You might speak to them on the phone when you schedule an appointment, see them helping during your appointment, attending to animals or out in the cattle section.  Between them they own 10 horses, a herd of Angus cows, 1 Llama, 6 cats, 6 dogs and multiple flocks of ducks, chickens and turkeys!  They bring individual, diverse knowledge and love of animals which means compassionate, quality, personal care for your pet, horse or herd.

Jack- Greeter and Trailer Inspector.  When not working he is often found sleeping on top of the ultrasound machine.  We like to say he is performing “CAT” scans.
